A video homage to structuralist film, Year Long Loop documents twelve months, tracking the course of a 24 hour day through static, ambient shots of the same Los Angeles landscape. Shooting was initiated in October 2004 and completed in September 2005. Each shot marks an hour of the day and is five minutes in length. In its final form, Year Long Loop will consist of twelve two hour long segments, a continuous 24 hour loop that cycles through time. The first DVD in the series, October (for r.p.) was completed in November 2004.
